CLUB HISTORY

OUR HISTORY

We began in 1976 as Varsity Lacrosse. In 1981 we became Crowchild Lacrosse in association with the home facility at the Crowchild Twin Arenas. In 1997 we became the Calgary Hornets Lacrosse Association; covering the north quadrant of Calgary.  We have grown considerably over the years and now have boys and girls playing lacrosse from Mini-Tyke to Midget.  We also have three Junior Teams under our Association.  Wranglers Tier 2, Wranglers Tier 3 and the Junior Ladies Cardinals.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Our Home arenas include Huntington Hills and Brentwood Sportsplex and our Jersey colours Green, Orange, White and Black and they feature a lacrosse-playing hornet.

OUR PHILOSOPHY . . .

. . . Is to have fun and improve skills and fitness while teaching respect of the game, other players, coaches and officials.

OUR PLAYERS . . .

Players range in age from Mini-Tyke to Midget (4 - 16 years) for male/female players (Minor Program) and Wranglers and Cardinals (17-21 years) for male/female players.  Players must reside in the Northwest Quadrant of Calgary to enroll with our association for the Minor Program. Players in the Junior Program can reside in other quadrants of the City.

All players, coaches and parents are required to sign
a Code of Conduct agreement at the start of each season.
