CLUB VOLUNTEERS - WE NEED YOU!!!

CALLING ALL MEMBERS!!

 

Our Annual General Meeting for the club is November 25, 2024 and we have positions to fill and we are looking to you, our Members to help fill these positions.     The positions that are up for election are:     President;  Vice-President (Technical); Secretary (Incumbant has let her name stand); Coach Director (Incumbant has left his name stand) and Division Coordinator Director.  NEW IN 2025 --  TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND JUNIOR TEAM DIRECTOR.       Information regarding the AGM and these positions can be found - HERE

BUT, we are in need of individuals to fill many Coordinator roles that are very important in order for our Board/Club to run effectively and efficiently.    The FEW cannot continue to do for the MANY.     We are looking to our membership and hope that you will consider one of the positions below.

These Coordinator roles are not difficult and will help our Directors concentrate on their task at hand regarding what they were elected to do.    Please consider helping your Hornets Board by considering a position listed below.

Positions to be filled:

Division Coordinators from U7 - U17.    We would like to have 2 at each division (total 12)   We have five individuals at the present time.   Volunteers would oversee a division prior to and through evaluations; attend  1 - 2 Meetings prior to evaluations.  Reports to Director of Division Coordinator and liaison

as well with Evaluation Director and Executive Director.

Jersey Coordinators (1 -2 volunteers)  Oversees the inventory of the equipment/jerseys; Keeps inventory; Oversees distribution to teams.  Reports to Equipment Director and liaisons in some circumstances with Executive Director.

**  NEW --  Evaluation - Data Entry & Tech Support; Evaluation - Floor Organizer/Scheduler; and Evaluations - Volunteer Recruiter/Float.  Three different positions to be filled.    Reports to the Evaluation Director.  

** NEW --Coach Coordinators (2 volunteer - admin work:   email coaches that need to take coach course, keep track of who has appropriate certificate for the level coaching; ensure they have taken VSR, completed coach application, etc.) to assist the Coach Director.   Reports to the Coach Director

** NEW - Tournament Coordinators - Placed at either the Icebreaker; U9 Tournament or Canada Day to report to the Tournament Director.    Committee members will be needed (15-20) to help with one of these events.

** NEW  _Tournament Committee Members (15 - 20 individuals) to coordinate and organize Icebreaker Tournament, U9 Tournament and oversee Canada Day Co-Host Duties at Tournament.

Photo Coordinator  - Liaisons with Executive Director to ensure teams are set to attend Photo Day; Obtain required information for Photographer in advance of Photo Day; Attend and oversee photo day (may need 1 - 2 volunteers to help on the day);  Arrange drop off of Photos from photographer; Schedule pick-up by team volunteer; report back to Executive Directeor.

** NEW -- Volunteer Coordinator - Works with Executive Director to ensure that all families from U9 - U17 have completed their club commitment volunteering and determining who has not completed this task and report the the Executive Director.

We are on a Volunteer Recruiting Blitz to find individuals that want to be a part of a great club.    This is a great way to meet new people and to bring some fresh, new ideas to the table, but also help the KIDS who deserve the very best we have to offer.
